The poll results are used by Curtis Media to determine public opinion on a given topic, and understand that polling results vary from day to day. This poll is not designed to replace more formal polling or polling methodologies studied by polling professionals. 

The Triangle Opinion Poll is a “straw poll,”  or popularity vote, and is not intended to be a scientific poll. Curtis Media makes a good faith effort to control the accuracy of the poll by limiting responses to one per IP address. The participants are bound by honor code to not answer each question more than once.
