Barbecued Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- 5 chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup white vinegar
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard (ground is preferable)
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Coat a skillet or frying pan lightly with oil. Brown the chicken breasts over medium heat.
- Coat a 13×9-inch baking dish with oil. Once the chicken is browned, transfer the chicken to the baking dish.
- Add more cooking oil to the skillet. Add the onion and stir over medium heat until the onion is tender.
- Add the water, white vinegar, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, ground mustard, salt and pepper to the skillet.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
- Pour the onion mixture over the chicken in the baking dish.
- Bake the barbecued chicken, uncovered, for approximately 40 to 45 minutes, or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
- Serve and enjoy.
